Bistro Aix — seasonal-Mediterranean and French inspired bistro dining
In 1999, when we decided to create a new restaurant in Jacksonville, we had several "must-do" criteria to include. First, create an exciting atmosphere and decor that would rival other "big city" restaurants; second, offer a moderately-priced food and wine menu featuring the flavors we had experienced during our travels in California, Provence and the Mediterranean; and finally, pair all this with friendly, professional service that makes you feel at home. We are proud that since then, Bistro Aix has successfully combined these "ingredients" and earned such honorable titles as "Best New Restaurant,"
"Most Romantic Restaurant," "Best Interior Design," and "Best Chef."
When you step through the doors of Bistro Aix (pronounced Bistro "X") in Jacksonville's historic San Marco district, we hope you think for a moment that you have been transported to another place. Named after the French town Aix-en-Provence, designer and partner Terry Schneider has created an exciting dining room that embodies the lively spirit of a bustling bistro in the south of France. Paired with Executive Chef and Partner Tom Gray's Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, the result is a pleasure of sights, senses and tastes. Blending old-world influences and modern interpretation, Bistro Aix is a city-hip bistro offering a menu full of exciting, distinctive flavors in a beautiful and stylish setting.
